For the spinach dip:
1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
For the mozzarella sticks:
12 mozzarella sticks
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
2 cups breadcrumbs
Vegetable oil, for frying
1- In a mixing bowl, combine the thawed and drained spinach, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
2- Transfer the spinach dip mixture to a piping bag or a resealable plastic bag with one corner cut off.
3- Take a mozzarella stick and pipe the spinach dip mixture along its length, making sure to cover the entire stick. Repeat with the remaining mozzarella sticks and spinach dip.
4- Place the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in separate bowls.
5- Dip each spinach-coated mozzarella stick into the flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally into the breadcrumbs, ensuring they are well coated at each step. Set them aside on a baking sheet.
6- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
7- Carefully place the coated mozzarella sticks into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, turning them occasionally to cook evenly.
8- Remove the mozzarella sticks from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
9- Serve the Spinach Dip Mozzarella Sticks warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
