Caramel Apple Cobbler

Ingredients:

6 cups thinly sliced apples
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a large bowl, mix together the sliced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread the apple mixture in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a separate bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add the milk and vanilla extract to the melted butter, and stir to combine.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, and stir until just combined. The batter will be lumpy.
Pour the batter over the apples in the baking dish.
Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top of the batter.
Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
